Made of locally sourced wood and clad in shingles, the exteriors mimic the traditional homes of local fishing communities. Inside, panoramic windows in the restaurant and living areas allow for uninterrupted Pacific Ocean views, which change constantly as the clouds and light play across the water.
Tierra Chiloé Adventure and Spa Hotel is located 20 minutes from the town of Dalcahue, the closest commercial center. If you would like to explore Dalcahue, we’d be happy to arrange a vehicle transfer for you.
The town is small, with limited infrastructure, though there is a selection of restaurants, souvenir stores, a handicraft market and church. Meanwhile Castro, the main town in Chiloé, is a half-hour’s drive away and the place to find both ATM’s and exchange houses, as well as larger convenience stores.
Electricity in Chile is 220V/50Hz and the plugs are a European, two pin round style, as below:
Our hotel staff and guides speak mostly Spanish and English, though with advance notice we can arrange guides who speak French or German, at no extra cost. If you require a guide who can communicate in another language, please contact us directly to organize this with some advance notice.
The Chilean currency is the peso. At the hotel, we accept payment in USD and Euros, as well as credit cards including Visa, Master Card, American Express cards. Should you need cash, you can find ATMs in Castro, 30 minutes from the hotel.
While gratuities are not obligatory, please note that it is customary in Chile to leave a tip when you receive a high quality service. We normally suggest between USD $50-$100 per person per night, but the amount is completely under the discretion of the guest in accordance to the service they received.
