Despite the difficult moment the tourism industry finds itself in due to the pandemic, new international recognitions invite travellers to begin to dream again and plan their next adventures.  The prestigious magazine Condé Nast Traveler announced its ranking of the 25 Best Resorts in South America, where Tierra Patagonia came in #5 in the region, Tierra Atacama placing #19 and Tierra Chiloé at spot #23.

More than 715,000 readers across the globe rated their travel experiences to determine the best within the industry, taking into account the complete guest experience, from the design, installations and location of the hotel, to the service, cuisine and excursions.

“In the midst of a complicated year, this recognition serves to remind us why we do what we do – it’s our love of nature, our pride in showing others the lands we call home, and our passion for providing outstanding hospitality,” says Miguel Purcell, Executive Director of Tierra Hotels.

Located in San Pedro de Atacama, the island of Chiloé, and Chilean Patagonia, Tierra Hotels stands out with its architecture, commitment to sustainability, and quality of service, allowing their guests to connect to nature and explore in depth the landscape and culture of each location.

“The winners represent the best of the best for our audience and offer plenty of trip-planning inspiration for all the adventures we can’t wait to have next,” said Jesse Ashlock, U.S. Editor of Condé Nast Traveler.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry.  The full list of winners can be found here.

Tierra Hotels invites their guests to experience their all-inclusive Adventure & Spa concept, where Chilean gastronomy is highlighted using local ingredients and a varied wine and liquor menu, as well as guided excursions to explore in depth each destination and its culture.  Before and after the excursions, guests can relax at Uma Spa, where the treatments all feature locally-sourced products and unbeatable views of the Licancabur Volcano in Atacama, the Paine Massif in Patagonia and the Pacific inlet on the island of Chiloé.
