Make your own granola bar… Tierra style
The granola bar: our excursion guides’ favorite and an old standby on adventures. This nutritious, portableand, most importantly, delicious snack is prepared by the Tierra Hotels team for their guests.
We love to see the smiles on the faces of people who try our foods, because they are homemade with much love. For that reason, we would like to share this recipe with you, so that you can also enjoy Tierra Hotels’ famous granola bar with your family.
Granola Bar Recipe
Ingredients
- 300 g. Oats
- 300 g. Whole wheat cereal
- 100 g. Walnuts
- 100 g. Almonds
- 100 g. Chocolate chips
- 250 g. Honey
- 300 g. Wheat flour
- 300 g. Sugar
- 250 g. Butter
- 1 Egg
Instructions: Put all the ingredients together in bowl and mix them by hand or with a mixer. Bake them for 10 minutes at 170 °C (340 °F).
Variations on the granola bar recipe offer other flavors to enjoy. The walnuts, almonds and chocolate chips can be replaced with:
- Apples and cinnamon: Add 100 g. dehydrated apple and 20 g. of cinnamon
- Chia and blueberry: Add 100 g. of chia and 100 g. of dehydrated blueberry.
- Pumpkin seed and apricot: Add 100 g. of pumpkin seeds and 100 g. of diced dried apricots.
