This group is dedicated to preserving one of the island’s most beautiful traditions: providing warmth through knitting. It’s also a tradition we want our Tierra Hotels guests to be able to take home with them.
The slippers are made using various techniques, such as garter stitch and stockinette stitch. They also come in two sizes, for men and women.
Once the knitting is complete, which doesn’t take long, another technique called crochet is used to finish the slippers around the opening.
When the slippers are ready, they’re picked up by Tierra Hotels staff, where we add a lovely message tag before they become part of your welcome at the hotel.
We’re delighted to support DecoCalen, who keep these beautiful traditions alive, passing them down from generation to generation. We also produce sustainable products using organic wool and natural dyes extracted from nature itself, ensuring that your stay at Tierra Hotels is even more memorable.
